New Year would usually see myself and Steve ([info]totally49) watching various TV shows and playing video games until the New Year passed when we would look at each other 5 minutes late and say 'oh yeah I forgot... Happy New Year'... (with the exception of the time we went to Souter's for new year and watched Ian pwn on Dance Dance Revolution) Being a gazillion miles away means that isn't gonna happen this year so I apologise in advance if I don't turn up at your door.

Anyways I was in the shower trying to think of a a few 'best of's' I could put on here that really defined 2007... I couldn't really think of many so maybe I'll have another shower and think of some more.

Best Song of 2007

Shine - Take That

I've been an absolute spastic for this song and whenever I hear it I feel the urge to jump around and dance all happy and shiny. Take That have been my guilty pleasure and I'm sure they'll continue to be through to 2008.

Other songs that have been 'eeee awesome'

Same Mistake - James Blunt
Whistle For The Choir - The Fratellis
Elevate Myself - Grandaddy
Against All Odds - The Postal Service

I know the latter was released in 2004 however it was only discovered when my friend Alex sent it to me this year and ever since myself and Steve lurved it.

Best Album of 2007

All The Lost Souls - James Blunt

It's only been three months since this album was released but I am deepy in love with every song on it. It got a lot of stick from people but I personally don't have a problem with it... and neither does Dwyre! It's a shame he isn't touring near anywhere I am... i'll take that as a sign Mr Blunt!

Other rockin' albums

Another Side - John Barrowman (booyah!)
Twelve Stops and Home - The Feeling
Back To Black - Amy Winehouse
Beautiful World - Take That

Best Movie of 2007

Stardust

This movie rocked, I saw it a whopping three times in the cinema (as I went with three different groups of people) and enjoyed it everytime. It made me laugh, it made me cry, it made me feel jubilant and ineffible. Plus Rupert Everett was in it! It's funny and gay

Other Films that were up there

Little Miss Sunshine
Smokin' Aces
Sunshine

Best Tv Show of 2007

Brothers & Sisters

Every episode of Brothers & Sisters was like a movie packed into 45 minutes and it was bee-you-ti-full! Some episodes made me awfully happy where as some episodes made the feel the opposite. I like that! It makes a nice change from all the action and sci-fi

Tv Classsss

The Big Bang Theory
The Sarah Silverman Program
The second half of Lost
Boston Legal

Best Documentary Tv in 2007

Meerkat Manor

You know how lame you are when you have a 'Best Documentary' section on your website... but these needed to go somewhere. I fsckin' love Meerkat Manor! For a solid thirty minutes I have the biggest smile on my face (unless something goes horribly wrong in the manor :(  )

Only one other documentary style tv show I loved in 2007 and that was 'Long Way Down' which just plain rawked!

Finally, Best Joke about a microwave 2007

I was going to do the best videogame of 2007 but I really couldn't decide and I desperately didn't want to choose Bioshock. 2007 was teh funz for me, I hope it was for you too! However I look forward to all the wonders of 2008 although tomorrow is going to be no different from today.

How can I just let you walk away? Just let you leave without a trace, when I stand here taking every breath with you, you're the only one who really knew me at all!!!

Lolololz! Last year I think we played Dead or Alive X-Treme 2! Oh how we laughed and frolicked and laughed and hahahaha, fun times! We also ate a lot of jelly beans!

Stardust dood, good to see that there, and that you finally chose a film! And a good'n at that, I think I would have to agree with you there, 'twas awesome! There certainly was some awe!

I didn't even see any of those shows you mentioned, apart from Lost of course, but... c'est la vie! How much Meerkat Manoring have you done!?

And finally, lolz, a Southend lad!

YAY for a guy admitting his Take That love. I loved Patience, although that may have come out last year. But then again I loved them first time round, even though I was old enough to know better back then.

I didn't really watch any 'normal' telly but I re-discovered Top Gear. I remember when that was just a bloke's show about cars. :D

And James Blunt - YES.
