How come nobody has brought this to my attention? Steve?! ( [info]totally49 )

Something tells me I'm not going to need my PlayStation 3 when I move but put this on my list for next Christmas... I can listen and sing in the car until then :)

No, I have no pictures of my laundry room, no amusing pictures of chocolate bars or anything similar to my previous high caliber posts I love to rant on about. Instead it's going to be mostly all talk.

With no work today and nothing big to be working on for University I'm deciding to take the time in writing a new entry- inspired partially by a 10am showing of 'Shaun of the Dead' on Comedy Central. Naturally that film is hiiiiiilarious as ever but why bother showing it that early on in the day? For a film that contains an incredible amount of gore and profanity it doesn't quite have the same effect edited... intact I don't recall seeing a single zombie. (exageration for dramatic purposes)

Its 3am in the funking morning, funking Sunday and I have to be at funking work in 3 funking hours!

However it did make me want a Cornetto!

Sticking with the same subject of tv I keep seeing adverts for High School Music 3 and they drive me insane- I could be watching period dramas then it suddenly breaks to an all dining and all dancing trailers

I recall very little singing and dancing at Tapton, very little.

The soundtrack page on iTunes scares me also. Can I not escape it? I bet Adam and Aaron are watching it as I type- their mouths quietly singing along to the same repetitive music whilst I sit here listening to Bob Marley.

Dont worry about a thing 'cause every little thing is gonna be alright

Despite not being back on my gold account I took the opportunity to download the new 360 update and create my avatar. Little Davie loves to play Sonic the hedgehog 2!

G-Mannnnn!

No Meaning
So thanks to the help of Steve ([info]totally49 ) (who completed all of Ravenholm through to City 17) I completed Half-Life 2 finally! Even though I believe the ending was quite a cop-out it means I shall enjoy Episode I more! Bless that G-Man and his confusing-ness!

Mulder with his Shades!
I apologise in advance for the blurryness of pictures... only those which I take outside do not come out blurry (and the only pictures I took of that are outside are ones of Luke and Lewis ([info]lew_v1) at the train station!

Anyway as Luke was coming back from University he decided to postpone our regular cinema trip which would occur on Friday to Saturday... alas... a very dull and java related Friday I had! (I did do laundry though!!! )

Nevertheless I met up with the previously mentioned along with Kinnear, Steve ([info]totally49) and Ian! We travelled afar to Centertainment by means of tram where we chilled in the cinema bar for a bit drinking Coca Cola and various other beverages (Luke spilling his in a horrible table knocking incident). The funny anecdote of the day would happen to be when Ian saw the flashing button on a games machine... upon further inspection he pressed the collect button and out popped thirty two quid in glorious pound coins! Although... promises drinks and dance dancing were never recieved!

Eventually we ended up seeing Death at a Funeral which was good... although perhaps Ian and Kinnear enjoyed it far more than they should have! I slid down in my seat a few times knowing that people in the cinema could hear their booming laugh even though the film itseld wasn't being funny.

Anyway I've just come back from town where I got some food and nipped into Waterstones to get a Java book for my course... however as we saw yesterday this book was too good to miss.... but by god how I love Meerkat Manor!  Anyway there is a lot of Java to be cracking on with and little Half-Life 2 to be playing! (unlike last night)

EDIT: so yeah the picture is all messed up and is out of place on my livejournal but you're gonna have to deal with it!. I can't be bothered to move it around the post!

Forgetfulness... or something.....

Don't you hate it when you think 'Oh yeah! I'm going to write about this in my livejournal!!' and then forget what it is you were going to write about!... If there's a lesson here it's that I need to take notes before I go to sleep! Chances are it was something really pointless and somewhat confusing as I thought about it jus before nodding off!

Nevertheless I'll make up this post as I go along!

Does anyone think this is the most un-fun rip off of Guitar Hero ever?

My Name Is Earl
So... not really a christmassy post but being in the Crimbo spirit Steve ([info]totally49) came around and we completed Gears of War! It was tough, it was extreme but we made it and it just restated the fact that games are much more fun when there's a co-op mode!

The next day after a hard earned sleep (and after I put on my LOST T-Shirt) we met up with Joe ([info]joebarnsley), The K-Man and Luke and went bowling. The theme was Christmas characters so Steve was Pumpkin Jack, Joe was Robbie, Kinnear was Scrooge, Luke was The Grinch and I was Indy (well... he's on every Christmas!). The matches were close and I think Kinnear won the first one and Joe won the second one... I'm not sure... correct me if I'm wrong!.

Afterwards we went to the cinema and saw Black Christmas... which sucked... but heck... didn't cost us anything so we were fine with that and it got us in the Christmas spirit... kind of. In all honesty, we were expecting a movie about Samuel L. Jackson's Christmas (alas we were disappointed!)

Angry Letters of Doom

Dear Andy and Larry Wachowski,

God forbid you'd leave your apartment, sauded little hellhole or whatever the hell you want to call it. Either way, I don't care... the point is that you guys are the most tarded people in the history of ever.

I recently completed your video game 'The Matrix: Path of Neo' and was very 'happy' to kick Agent Smith's butt every now and again. Now, I understand that many people hate you for the ending that you did choose for The Matrix Revolutions but why the hell did you have to go and make an aleternate ending!?!?

Do you even want me to tell you again what happens!? because quite frankly I don't think you both know ow stupid it really is. Smith knocks you into the crater and then both your faces pop up saying 'Well, congratulations, but we changed the ending to suit peoples tastes bla bla bla...' ...and then, after Smith does his 'MY WORLD!' skit all of the other agents leap together to form a Giant Agent Smith. Now when you destroy the Giant Agent Smith the song 'We Are The Champions' by Queen begins to play.

WHY!? WHY!?

Here are a few smacks of my keyboard that express my utter confusion

awfjkl;e34hkj37

I hope you are both happy

The Davie Brother

PS. If you don't make a Keymaker spin-off then I may have to kill Andy

The Agents look in utter dismay at what they have become (besides Smith of course, he's lovin' it!)

I stole the idea from [info]honeyfitz

Ok, so the aim of the game is simple, I lure you in with an image (one below) which will hopefully make you want to read this... and if you are, then it has worked. bwahaha!

The premise is simple, guess the movie/tv show/dvd that each picture is from, if you don't know what one is from, then leave it blank! Easy as pie, the more you get right the more amazing reward you get!

EDIT: Clue, two of the images come from the same DVD

All 10 of them are here! )

My angry letter to Capcom

  • Sep. 25th, 2005 at 6:44 PM
What A Horrible Nightmare
Dear Capcom
                     WTH!?
I'm a fan of all the capcom games from 'Resident Evil' all through the other ones but i'm on the verge of crying and if you don't aswer me these questions i'm scared I may do something nasty. Like scream at Souter...

1. Why on earth does an underground train station need to have the tighest security anybody has ever seen, which involves finding two pieces of of emblem in order to open a big door (and it just so happens that you leave these emblems with some really tough guys in suits!?)

2. Why can't I see down corridors? Not all zombies make noises you know! and I can't see 3 inches in front of me with your dodgy camera angles!

3.Why do the same freaking zombies come back to life when I leave the room and then re-enter it straight after?!

Why Capcom Why!? Why are your games such a rip of Konami!? Why does Souter love your games!?

I'd also like to make a point, Resident Evil isn't Evil, it's just tedious, I don't care if you nuke it!

If it wasn't for Resident Evil 4 I may be very upset at this moment in time!

I'd stay to rant on even more but Antiques Roadshow is on!

Yours Sincerely

Dave
