A history in Daves

So, I was bored about an hour ago (well, until dinner was ready) so once again I thought i'd search for my family crests... I've done this before and it managed to pass about 5 minutes but then I decided to check out other peeps who had my name.

About 20 minutes later I arrived at a site which had a familiar name, 'Joseph Pursglove' who was my Great Grandfather.

I read on... (it's only a small paragraph... so didn't take long)

It says he served in the 9th Battalion, Sherwood Foresters.. I'd go on but that'd be pretty boring

Here is the cool thing, he has a commeration 'special  memorial' in a pretty snazzy cemetary called 'Sailly-Saillisel British Cemetery' somewhere in France and out of the 765 burials there (300 of them unknown) only 8 of them are special memorials in which Joseph is number 1. (according to that first site)

EDIT: I'd look for my Colombian heritage but I can't spell my mum's surname :(

Hello. My name is David Pursglove and I'm a graduate and a professional Englishman living in Florida. I've been blogging on and off since 2004 when I was just a wee nipper in Secondary School. It's not all rubbish so I hope you find something you enjoy ^_^. Thanks for visiting.
