Who drank all the Nesquik?

The title for this post has changed so many times in my mind that I decided to go with something that popped into my head whilst making breakfast this morning.
Two slices of toast with Nutella... the beautiful thing about living in Florida and my parents owning rental villas is every week they have an abundance of cereal (particularly Lucky Charms), English food, Nesquik and Nutella... all left from vacationers who have come and gone. Just yesterday when I went to one of the rental houses for Internet I found a stash of lollipops in the freezer- they were pretty disgusting and the only ones that were left were the unheard of flavours. Kiwi? Who eats kiwi lollipops?

Lollipops aside, I thought I'd indulge myself in some Nesquik this morning... something I don't usually do because I think it's a pain to make. I feel pretty disappointed in myself knowing that's the case because it's called Nesquik for a reason. :(. Whilst I made the toast and spread the Nutella I psyched myself up more and more which excited my taste buds with the idea of such a treat. It wasn't until I picked up the strawberry Nesquik box that I realised that the box was much lighter than I envisioned. It was empty. All of the Nesquik boxes were empty! To this very moment I'm still left very thirsty and milk just won't cut it on it's own.

The previous rant wasn't really intended for my blog and if anyone from my family stumbles upon it then don't worry- I'm sure by tomorrow my Nesquik urge will be long gone and I'll want some orange juice instead.

I haven't blogged since April and with exciting new adventures on the horizon I really wanted to fall back in the habit of keeping myself up to date. My life over the year was consumed by work and finishing University and it never really gave me the chance to post about anything exciting- now that I've been a graduate for a little while and my work hours are down I figured it was only fair to give something back to the blogging community. This past month has been pretty eventful and one day I enjoyed in particular was Halloween. Now I haven't been trick or treating since I was maybe 7 or 8 and I definitely haven't been trick or treating in America before so it was an all new exciting experience waiting for me to take part in. I joined Katherine and her family and we headed out to Celebration (where they have the fake fairy liquid snow I had written about many years ago) and began our rounds. Myself as Indiana Jones, Katherine as Tinkerbell, Rachel as Peter Pan, Caroline as Captain Hook, Michael as a knight, Karen as Joan of Arc, Elizabeth as a kitty and Gabriel as Bumblebee (yes, Katherine has a lot of family) Being 21 I felt terribly shy asking for candy so we decided to encourage the little ones into knocking on scary looking houses and figuring out which houses gave away the better treats (full size candy bars are a Halloween goldmine) I'll try and post a picture but none of me shamelessly collecting candy from buckets ^_^.

The upcoming couple months I've got a lot to be focussing on. With plans to move up to Virginia in January I'm really psyched and excited to be actually "in the market" of getting a car. I joked to Katherine about how I wanted a yellow jeep (and yeah. it would be cool wouldn't it?! with my hair blowing in the wind, my aviators on!) but I may save that for a retirement investment. I'm working on my future, our future and I have the most wonderful person in my life to be working towards it with.

Can't Stop Feeling

This Is Not Here
Screw my internet. Screw it.... after I've cleaned up my room I'm going to be making my video blogs once more, I don't care if they take like a half hour to upload... Speaking of half hours... I've had two Americans who have question my time telling abilities....

When I say 'half past nine' this usually indicates the time is 9.30 but how come when I say 'half nine' they assume the time is 8.30. Is this just a cheifly English thing? even more so a cheifly northern thing? I know it's definitely not a cheifly David thing because I never ran into such problems back home :o

I'm just going to gather up all the Americans and teach them how to speak properly, none of this 'i'm going to write you' crap... tsk

Let the cleaning commence

So this is the weird stuff I find in Izzy's recycle bin

It's a picture of me taken 2007 entitled 'daves going to be a princes' (which I believe is a misspelling of Princess) followed by a picture of my head that has been crudely cut in Microsoft Paint entitled 'th-davesthequeenofsourpussisland-1'.... It makes me wonder what th-davesthequeenofsourpussisland-2 is :o

I dare not ask

Bad Taste

Back to the Future Part One
I got complained at that I had no background set on my iPhone... dissapointed as I was I decided to go through and find some sort of appropriate picture to set 'for the lulz'. Lo and behold I found this (which I had taken a few weeks earlier to show Izzy)

It wasn't until I got a txt message and felt the phone vibrate madly inside my pocket that I realised my picture choice was probably a little in bad taste
Steven Page jumpy!

So this will be my first thanksgiving stateside and therefore my first thanksgiving evarrr! Last year I was back in the UK for a bit so missed out on turkeys and such and most likely spent the day at Chiquitos asking Gibbo if he preffered the waitress over Tina (waitress!)

Although my schedule isn't going to be any different today I've tried to explain to a few people some of the holidays we have in England rather than thanksgiving, namely Bonfire Night. I could've explained it a little better- a day when we make a little man out of straw and burn him on a fire does sound sort of unbelieveable and similar to something straight out of The Wicker Man (which is even more like Eyam where they now burn a giant wooden rat). Remember remember the 5th of November and all that jazz.

Even though I don't quite know the tradition of thanksgiving I get to relax and have some lazy time off work which is pretty sweet considering I have to be up at 3am for work tomorrow. (I see no point in sleeping to be honest) Heck I didn't even know a 3am existed!

Speaking of new experiences I got to try a place called Cici's pizza with Vince and Raquel which people say is delicious. Now don't get me wrong, I like pizza but not in that quantity- it's the same premise as the pizza hut buffet in which you have your third slice and you feel terribly sick. It was at this point they tried to feed me macaroni and cheese pizza which didn't sit well with me and I didn't even eat it!

All turned out alright though, I didn't hurl and we got to meet up with the very loverly Alex at city walk to see Bond (although I swear the last time I saw that movie I saw Daniel Craig's arse... Where did it go?)

At any rate, wish me luck for tomorrow. I'll snap piccies.

Cheers!

Finally...

Ever since deciding to upgrade my Go Phone to my new iPhone (aptly named Deckard for geek reference) I've been waiting for a LiveJournal application so I can post no matter where I am. Alas! LiveJournal.app made it's wonderful return so now I can type with my mini keyboard no matter where I am. You lucky buggers!

I've even included a picture (despite it not being the format I would have liked) so if you do have the iPhone I highly reccommend it!

It's been a long time since I've had the chance to post but seeing as I started working on my final year of University stuff earlier this month I find it only fitting to start again (look at it as my return from summer break)

Posted via LiveJournal.app.

It's like my own little home

Not a cylon
I don't have long to write this. I've got some quesadillas and plantains in the oven and they should be done in about 5... no... 4 minutes! Yum Yum

*sniff*

smells... kinda funky!

Today I also read William Hung's fan mail (to be fair, there was only a page!) but I was very scared! there are actually people out there that write to him! *shudders*
