New Year would usually see myself and Steve (totally49) watching various TV shows and playing video games until the New Year passed when we would look at each other 5 minutes late and say 'oh yeah I forgot... Happy New Year'... (with the exception of the time we went to Souter's for new year and watched Ian pwn on Dance Dance Revolution) Being a gazillion miles away means that isn't gonna happen this year so I apologise in advance if I don't turn up at your door.

Anyways I was in the shower trying to think of a a few 'best of's' I could put on here that really defined 2007... I couldn't really think of many so maybe I'll have another shower and think of some more.

I apologise in advance for the blurryness of pictures... only those which I take outside do not come out blurry (and the only pictures I took of that are outside are ones of Luke and Lewis (lew_v1) at the train station!

Anyway as Luke was coming back from University he decided to postpone our regular cinema trip which would occur on Friday to Saturday... alas... a very dull and java related Friday I had! (I did do laundry though!!! )

Nevertheless I met up with the previously mentioned along with Kinnear, Steve (totally49) and Ian! We travelled afar to Centertainment by means of tram where we chilled in the cinema bar for a bit drinking Coca Cola and various other beverages (Luke spilling his in a horrible table knocking incident). The funny anecdote of the day would happen to be when Ian saw the flashing button on a games machine... upon further inspection he pressed the collect button and out popped thirty two quid in glorious pound coins! Although... promises drinks and dance dancing were never recieved!

Eventually we ended up seeing Death at a Funeral which was good... although perhaps Ian and Kinnear enjoyed it far more than they should have! I slid down in my seat a few times knowing that people in the cinema could hear their booming laugh even though the film itseld wasn't being funny.

Anyway I've just come back from town where I got some food and nipped into Waterstones to get a Java book for my course... however as we saw yesterday this book was too good to miss.... but by god how I love Meerkat Manor!  Anyway there is a lot of Java to be cracking on with and little Half-Life 2 to be playing! (unlike last night)

So... this is like a movie we made last year! Beautiful! Starring Me as the Canadian Mountie (Anthony Orchin), Steve (totally49) as the asian murder victim (Jon Pope) and Mark axeman2002) as Waining (Ben Stone)!

My Jacket comes off and on again thanks to Steve's magical powers

So I decided to upload a trailer for my all time favourite movie! No points for guessing what it is though! I would make a more practical entry but my assignment is in tomorrow so I'm double checking everything works!

So first actual week of lectures and stuff at University is over and I have a good chance to write about stuff in my Livejournal however I don't have many anecdotes that I can write in... not yet anyway!

Yesterday was fun however because we (Mark (axeman2002), Shula (im_snuffles), Emma (serenityems) and Souter Mouter (baronjosef) started off the afternoon (at a late start of 4pm) seeing Clerks II which was my third time for me! The movie just rocks so many socks and we cheered when Jason Lee came on screen!

You know you're a geek when you play House of the dead 3 with both the shotguns however as usual- my arms will start to ache after the first boss and I have to resort to shouting "reload me!" to Mark or Souter. Shortly after the arcade we went down to pizza hut where we met (dun dun, more lj people!) Steve (totally49), Han (mischa_craven), Joe (joebarnsley), Kev (maidenite) and The K-Man (who doesn't have an LJ :( but I assure you it'd be the best LJ ever!! ) and had Pizza! Woot! Needless to say good times were had by all!

No video post today and I've decided things would be a lot easier if I had some kind of schedule towards them. So expect to see a video post every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday!

 A few days ago at about 1am in the morning

Mark (axeman2002): Star Wars Episode I

Me: You want to watch Star Wars Episode I at 1 o' clock in the morning?

Mark: Yes

So yesterday saw Steve (totally49) come around for general entertainmentness and because it was raining hard outside we decided to stay in (well in all fairness- we weren't planning to go outside anyways, there's not much to do outside bar the wet trampoline) and inciting Nostalgia we played on some Max Payne 2 (which I left on accidentally over night and racked up 17 hours play time on X-Fire) and it made us laugh heartedly (and that was just jumping off buildings and pressing pause every so often)

A few hours later, Mark (axeman2002) came around and we watched a lot of Arrested Development which has been my guilty pleasure lately due to it's hilariousness. By the time it got to 10/11ish (I can't remember- I kind of lost track of time) Steve headed home and Me and Mark invaded downstairs to watch "When Stunts go Bad" where there were many "oooh"s and "ahhhh"s and "youch"es and we felt sorry for the guy who broke pretty much everything. Towards the end of the evening we decided to start our own stunts company and start by jumping over the pond in my back garden. Tickets for this will be on sale for £9.99 per person and there will be punch and pie.

After waking up and seeing a Mark in the other bed we decided to head over to the cinema to watch The Wicker Man with our friend, Nicolas Cage.  (and I knew that guy in the bar at the end is the guy who plays Harry Osborn in Spiderman! I just couldn't put my finger on it) Anyway, the film was very good and Nicolas Cage is pretty cool as always (This time he even has a go at some school kids for putting a crow inside a desk). We also got pick-n-mix, a maxibon and an orange to eat during the film!

So yesterday me and Steve (totally49) took a trip into Sheffield (whilst everyone was at CORP which we weren't invited to) after getting our ya-ya's from the release of Battlestar Galactica Season 2 and there were many musings. After general town walking and finally finishing in town we decided to go see Severence which was good (if only because Toby Stephens rocked/rocks so much!) but in my opinion- not that funny. (how can anything follow Shaun of the Dead?) We also had Maxibons and I walked through the spinny doors twice (in a row!)

As tradition has it- we always go to the arcade before or after a movie just to have a game of Time Crisis (this time we played no.4), DDR or the grabbing machines. We decided to play a game of "Deal or No Deal" which was entertaining (we didn't quite understand it but we didn't win either so I don't think it matters!)

Today has been a mix of getting up late, making a Sheperds pie (not to be confused with Shepard's pie, the pie that Shepard makes in FireFly) and watching/drooling over Battelstar Galactica (looks forward to October very muchly!). I also got an e-myspace mail from Anna Nalick telling me you can buy bracelets (male and female) made out of famous musicians guitar strings such as Counting Crows, Death Cab For Cutie, Goo Goo Dolls, Bob Weir and many more (some peeps I haven't heard of) so I decided to check out how much it'd cost me to buy a bracelet made from Peter Frampton's used guitar strings and it was a whopping $250! Ouch! (To be fair, I wouldn't want Peter Frampton's guitar strings anyway!)
